McCormick Ranch hosts this invitation only event and as a courtesy asks their favorite vendors to visit with the guests. We get a chance to taste the wonderful catering options they have available, sample cocktails, and enjoy a beautiful evening overlooking the landscape of Camelback Mountain.

Thousands of couples all around the world flocked to wedding chapels on 11/11/11 looking to tie the knot. Some believe the repetition of numbers is lucky, while others look to it as a very special way to commemorate their very special day as it occurs once every hundred years. Another popular theme amongst love birds this year is celebrating their classic love story in a classic, vintage theme.

What happens when you combine the two? You get a gorgeous, unforgettable wedding with one very pleased Arizona wedding planner.

Let me give you 11 reasons why I loved my 11/11/11 wedding that may inspire those little details to make your big day equally special.

The place cards were handmade and amazing. They looked vintage and took hours to make. Every card was different.
Wedding thank you cards were inserted in napkins! These were made on my Heritage Makers web site. A sincere thank you to everyone greeted guests who came to the wedding from the bride and groom.
Centerpieces- an assortment of mason jars, milk glass, vases with assorted flowers and candles. Vintage books used to give the vases some height. The overlays for each table at the reception were different. Lace, burlap, burlap with lace sewed on the edge. Suzi Kaminsky, a friend of the bride designed these with wholesale flowers
Chandeliers- 2 were used for this outside AZ wedding. One for the guest entrance and one near the dance floor above the cake.
A vintage bicycle decorated with a ”Just Married” sign and cans to follow it. Loved this!! The bride and groom took their engagement photos on this bike.
Old furniture used for decor- a beautiful hutch made to look vintage with an assortment of wonderful desserts (cake pops, cakes, mini cupcakes etc..). They also used desks, carts, dressers, couches, chairs to decorate the backyard.
Sweetheart table- This looked amazing. The bride and groom sat in old vintage chairs, an old rocking chair, old doors and flagging, lace tablecloth, candles, old lamps (that worked)
Buffet- we actually used old doors and windows to decorate the buffet. It looked so cute. Lots of candles, assortment of vases, chalkboard signage, mason jars wrapped in burlap, burlap and lace doilies for decor. Amazing!
The flowers- Wow! They were so beautiful. Made by Petal Pushers.
Cake- Made by Elizabeth with Cakes by Elizabeth. She made a vintage looking cake and a grooms cake to look like a University of Michigan football helmet.
Homemade Photo booth station- The bride wallpapered a wall with vintage style wallpaper and set up an old style living room in front of it. Guests took their own photos with old Polaroid cameras. They wrapped themselves with lace shawls, wore top hats, fake mustaches. It was so fun

Breathe Deep Phoenix Walk for LUNGevity Foundation

The mission and driving force of LUNGevity Foundation is to have a meaningful and immediate impact on improving lung cancer survival rates, ensure a higher quality of life for lung cancer patients, and provide a community for those impacted by lung cancer. In order to accomplish our mission, LUNGevity funds the most promising research into the early detection and successful treatment of lung cancer as identified by our board of leading scientists. LUNGevity also supports the largest national grassroots lung cancer network. Jeanne Colquette, a strong supporter of LUNGevity is hosting an event to raise awareness and money for this cause. Jeanne Colquette not only loves to plan weddings and events, she’s worked in several different areas of the Arizona events industry. This has led to an important understanding of vendor – client relationships. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelors degree in Hotel Management. From there, she began working as a restaurant manager, and then with a catering company. For 10 years, she worked the catering side of the business, everything from serving tables to office administration and sales. As a sales manager, she loved selling and planning and working for weddings and learned she also had a knack for corporate events and other parties.

The Beginning of Events Your Way

After having two children, Jeanne opened up her own event planning company in April 2004. Since then her portfolio has grown to over 100 weddings of all different types. Small weddings, destination weddings, large weddings, Catholic, Jewish, Hungarian, Polish and Eastern Indian Ceremonies. She’s even had a Rabi and a Priest perform together!

After almost 17 years, she still absolutely loves what she does. She loves meeting families, getting to know them and feeling a part of their family as the wedding date approaches. Our Wedding Day Only Package includes the final step in planning your perfect Arizona wedding. You may want to plan your wedding yourself but come the day of the wedding, your only concentration should be your commitment to each other, not what’s going on around you.

How It Works
Towards the end of your wedding planning process, we step in and take over. We ask that you give us your vendor names, phone numbers and all pertinent information that will help us coordinate everything from that point forward. Then you will fill out a questionnaire so Events Your Way can get up to speed and take over. We’ll introduce ourselves to all your vendors, make any last minute arrangements and send you on your way to prepare for that walk down the aisle.

So What Happens on The Wedding Day?

On the wedding day, we arrive as scheduled to handle all vendors, set up details and answer any questions anyone may have. We perform the usual wedding coordinator duties such as gathering the bridal party, passing out flowers, assisting the bride, groom, parents and bridal party in any way. Our main goal is to be sure that you are relaxed and stress free. We will also help coordinate the rehearsal of the ceremony and run through everything to ensure your highest level of comfort.
